Broadband, Inc. Selects Richardson Electronics As Global Distributor
Richardson appointed as exclusive global distributor of Mimix's
diversified product lines
October 27, 2005, Houston, Texas - Mimix Broadband, Inc.,
a supplier of Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) semiconductors, today announced
it has reached an exclusive agreement with Richardson Electronics,
Ltd. (Nasdaq: RELL), a global provider of Engineered Solutions for
the RF, Wireless and Power Conversion markets. Under the terms of
the agreement, Richardson Electronics has secured exclusive global
distribution rights to Mimix's diversified line of GaAs semiconductor
products that span the spectrum from DC to 50 GHz.
Mimix selected Richardson as its worldwide distributor based on
Richardson's global presence, inventory management expertise, technical
field sales engineers, and engineered solutions that provide a total
solution to its customers.
Mimix is positioned to meet the demand for increasingly higher
bandwidth by providing higher frequency microwave and millimeter-wave
GaAs devices used in a variety of wireless and optical applications.
The addition of Mimix's GaAs semiconductors to Richardson's product
offering provides customers with an expanded range of devices to
meet the requirements for a variety of applications from DC to 50
GHz.
