Mimix Broadband, Inc. Introduces Family of SMT Packaged GaAs MMIC Transmitters

RoHS-Compliant Packaged Transmitters Cover 10 to 45 GHz

October 5, 2006, Houston, Texas – Mimix Broadband, Inc. introduces today a family of Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) transmitters in RoHS-compliant, surface mount technology (SMT) packages, covering 10 to 45 GHz. The packaged transmitters achieve the following performance specifications:

These parts feature high linearity, gain control and broadband performance provided in low cost, standard QFN packages. They are manufactured in state-of-the-art 0.15um GaAs pHEMT technology, integrate LO doublers, LO buffer amplifiers, balanced mixers and RF driver amplifiers, and are ideal for wireless communications applications such as millimeter-wave point-to-point radio, local multipoint distribution services (LMDS), SATCOM and VSAT applications.

These highly integrated, multi-function devices provide a distinct advantage by reducing design effort, reducing cost, improving reliability and yield, and getting product to market faster.
