| Mimix Broadband, Inc. Introduces 18-21 / 36-42 GHz QFN Packaged Active
Doubler and Power Amplifier with Added Feature of Gain Control
Doubler Combined with Input Buffer Amplifier and Four-Stage Power
Amplifier Delivers 25 dBm P1dB
March 15, 2007, Houston, Texas - Mimix Broadband, Inc. introduces today
an 18 to 21 / 36 to 42 GHz GaAs pHEMT active doubler offered in a 7x7mm
surface mount QFN package that is RoHS compliant. Identified as the
XX1001-QK, this device delivers +25 dBm output power, has excellent
fundamental rejection of 50 dBc and offers the added feature of gain
control. The device combines an active doubler with an input buffer
amplifier and a four-stage power amplifier and provides an ideal
solution for a variety of applications, including microwave,
point-to-point radio, VSAT, E-band radio, automotive and satellite communications.
"This unique SMT packaged active doubler can be operated in a saturated
power mode or can be backed off for linear applications," stated Paul
Beasly, Product Manager, Mimix Broadband, Inc. "The XX1001-QK also has
the added feature of gain control through adjusting the bias parameters,
making it a very versatile product that also simplifies the design
effort and reduces the costs for our customers for applications at 36-42
GHz."
Engineering samples and small production quantities are available today
from stock. Technical support is also available from Mimix's
applications engineers at 281.988.4600. The datasheet and additional
product information can be obtained from the Mimix Broadband website at www.mimixbroadband.com .
