Mimix Broadband, Inc. Introduces 5 to 14 GHz
GaAs MMIC Packaged Driver
Amplifier
RoHS compliant, 3 mm x 3 mm QFN packaged amplifier
offers on-chip ESD
protection and uses single power supply
October
24, 2006, Houston, Texas - Mimix Broadband, Inc.
introduces today a 5 to 14 GHz gallium arsenide
(GaAs) monolithic microwave integrated circuit
(MMIC) driver amplifier, packaged in an RoHS compliant
QFN package. This device is processed in a highly
repeatable, 0.25 micron optical pseudomorphic
high electron mobility transistor (pHEMT) process
and includes on-chip diodes for ESD protection.
This three stage amplifier achieves 20 dB of gain
and 11 dBm of P1dB. The device is self-biased
and uses a single power supply. This packaged
driver amplifier, identified as CMM0511-QT, is
suitable for a variety of C-, X- and Ku-band applications.
The CMM0511-QT is a self biased low cost driver
amplifier which eliminates the need for a negative
voltage supply and any external matching elements.
This general purpose driver amplifier comes in
a 3 mm X 3 mm, plastic QFN package and delivers
high performance over C-, X- and Ku-bands.
"The device saves valuable board area, is
easy to mount and easy to handle in automated
assembly lines," states Amer Droubi, Product
Manager, Mimix Broadband, Inc. "The CMM0511-QT
nicely complements our wide range of highly reliable
driver amplifiers and gain blocks."
Engineering samples are available today from
stock in small quantities. Technical support is
also available from Mimix's applications engineers
at 281.988.4600. The product datasheet and additional
product information can be obtained from the Mimix
Broadband website at www.mimixbroadband.com.
